Our famous Kilimanjaro single origin Tanzanian coffee has subtle sweetness, velvety mouthfeel, and a juicy finish. This coffee boasts with notes of plum, cocoa nibs and reminds you of a fine merlot.
As a favoured and frequented origin for our team, Kilimanjaro is home to 60 000 small holder farmers who produce a delicious and sustainable African coffee. Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano, and it is the highest mountain in Africa, reaching 5,895 meters above sea level. In Moshi, at the base of our operations in the region, we have made many friends (Tanzanians are big on small talk and shaking hands!), had great food and here we source the best coffee from the area. We also learnt to speak a lot of Swahili from the friendly mountain tribes, including “Pole Pole ” which means slowly. We often use that term in our factories to remind us that we need to sometimes slow down in order to reach our goals effectively and without error. From the Maasai tribes to the Chaga people, Tanzania is truly a remarkable place with remarkable people and truly phenomenal coffee. This coffee was so great we soma climbed the mountain…twice!
